American Fighter has designed the exclusive walkout tee for Matt Hamill, as he headlines the main event of this Saturday’s Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale with Jon Jones. Both Jones and Hamill have thus far made successful transitions from primarily a wrestling background to become well rounded dynamic fighters. Hamill has proven to be just as dangerous on his feet as he is on the ground. His new walkout tee is 100% cotton and features his name, nickname and the American Fighter logo on the front. The t-shirt will only be available in limited quantities.

Since he entered the UFC octagon, Rich Franklin and American Fighter have been synonymous with each other. Initially, Damage Wear Inc. co-founder Jeff Adler approached Franklin as a sponsor, but the relationship eventually led to Franklin becoming a co-owner and the emergence of the American Fighter brand spawning from Damage Wear. Just as Franklin’s career has taken off inside the octagon, so too has the American Fighter brand outside of it. For Franklin, the sky is the limit as far as he is concerned. With a growing roster of fighters and product, Franklin took the time to discuss what his role is within American Fighter, what the brand is all about and where he would like to see it go in the future.

Gymtops: Your relationship with American Fighter began when co-owner Jeff Adler initially approached you as a sponsor. What initially attracted you to the company?

Rich Franklin: In the beginning “Damage Wear Inc.”, the corporate name of the apparel company was sponsoring me for local shows before I got into the UFC. After I got the call for my first UFC fight we got together and created the American Fighter name and from there I saw the potential of where this brand could go so we partnered up and here we are today.

Once again Silver Star Casting Company and American Fighter have teamed up to deliver Rich Franklin’s walkout tee. This time they will be partnering up for Franklin’s UFC 103 bout on September 19th, when he takes on Vitor Belfort at a catchweight of 195 lbs. Available in two colors (tan and grey) the shirt features a tea stain dye with Franklin’s nickname ‘Ace’  represented by burnout appliqués in the front and back. Both the Silver Star and American Fighter name are present on both side of the shirt as well. The shirt is available for order on both supplier’s websites, with orders scheduled to be shipped out on September 14th.

Long standing mma apparel icon American Fighter has entered the jewelry business. AF released ten pieces of jewelry made of sterling silver, gold or white gold. The items, mostly pendants, are made when an order is received so it normally takes a couple of weeks for delivery. Most items are pendants and do not include the necklace other than the American Fighter Dog Tags. See the AF website for more details.

It’s awesome to see two companies in the same industry team up and deliver superb quality gear to MMA enthusiasts worldwide. Off the top, there is only 100 pairs of these custom made shorts available at the American Fighter website. Complete with UFC style hook/loop closure these shorts were made famous by Rich “The Ace” Franklin and were worn during his fight in Dublin at UFC 93 against Dan Henderson. The shorts are available for a mid February ship date and can also be purchased in a black/white colorway. Make sure you pre-order before supplies run out.

American Fighter has released the official Rich “The Ace” Franklin UFC 93 walkout tee in a limited quantity. Keeping in tune with their latest style guidelines American Fighter continues to support the troops and put every detail of being a patriotic American in each and every one of their newest products. The shirt features full-colored sponsor logos encrusted in a bald eagle/US flag backdrop. The Tee runs for $50 and can be found on the American Fighter website.

American Fighter released a tribute t-shirt to the “voice of the octagon” Bruce Buffer. The t-shirt features a picture of Buffer’s infamous 180 degree spin when introducing the first fighter. It’s strictly a collectors shirt. Nothing more. Nothing less.

American Fighter is releasing 100 pairs of limited edition Rich Franklin fight shorts due to ship late September. The fight shorts are your standard pink/brown colored, UFC styled hook/loop closure with drawstring. The traditonal logo is also embroired on the front right leg. These are currently available as pre-sale only, so make sure you order a pair on the American Fighter website before stock runs out.
