Today Silver Star announced that they will be adding Lyoto Machida to their quick expanding roster of  sponsored fighters.

Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida will defend his light heavyweight championship under a Silver Star sponsorship in UFC 104 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, October 24, 2009.

Machida (15-0-0) who won the light heavyweight champion title in UFC 98, will represent Silver Star in the octagon with a signature walkout tee as he defends his crown against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (18-3-0) in the co-feature event.

“Silver Star is built for champions and Machida is a true champion in and out of the ring,” said Silver Star owner, Luke Burrett. “Machida sets the bar high, and is someone MMA fans can look up to.”

Melvin Guillard will be looking for his third straight victory in the UFC when he steps into the octagon to face Nate Diaz at Ultimate Fight Night 19, on Wednesday September 16th. When he enter the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Guillard will be sporting his new walkout tee from Silver Star. Known as the “Young Assassin”, the shirt sports a few graphic references to the moniker, a skeletal assassin with a smoking gun on the front of the shirt, and two smoking colt 45s on the back.

Shortly after disbanding his own apparel line a few months ago, Frank Trigg announced a partnership with Silver Star Casting Company. Set to face Josh Koschek at UFC 103, Trigg will be making his return to the octagon after a four year absence, and also a return to the welterweight division.  With the fight less then two weeks away, Silver Star has released Trigg’s first signature tee. The all black shirt features a monogram of Trigg’s initials flanked by striking eagles on the front, while the back features the Silver Star name, Trigg’s name, and another monogram FT. The 100% cotton tee is accented with silver foil highlights on the front and back.

Once again Silver Star Casting Company and American Fighter have teamed up to deliver Rich Franklin’s walkout tee. This time they will be partnering up for Franklin’s UFC 103 bout on September 19th, when he takes on Vitor Belfort at a catchweight of 195 lbs. Available in two colors (tan and grey) the shirt features a tea stain dye with Franklin’s nickname ‘Ace’  represented by burnout appliqués in the front and back. Both the Silver Star and American Fighter name are present on both side of the shirt as well. The shirt is available for order on both supplier’s websites, with orders scheduled to be shipped out on September 14th.

(IRVINE, CA) – Already sponsoring Thiago Silva for his fight, Silver Star Casting Co. will create a signature walkout tee for Antonio “Minotauro” Nogueira as he takes on Randy “The Natural” Couture for a heavyweight showdown as the main event at UFC 102 on August 29 at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR.

After walking out in a signature tee by Silver Star, Nogueira (31-5-1) will face Couture (16-9-0) in the battle of the heavyweights.
